Sky Ryders Drum & Bugle Corps

"The Unofficial Site"

This is to serve as OFFICIAL PUBLIC NOTICE; this website is in NO WAY connected to Sky Ryders Drum & Bugle Corps.

Research- A search engine result (Google, MSN and Yahoo) for "Sky Ryders Drum & Bugle Corps" ended in no major presence for the drum corps (that is front page search engine results) on January 11th, 2006 and this is the response:

Purpose- This will serve as a growing database that is comprised of information on Sky Ryders Drum & Bugle Corps from former alumni and fans of the corps; the included information is in NO way to be considered official nor accurate for legal reasons. The end result is Sky Ryders will always have an unofficial, major and permanent presence on the web. Hopefully, this effort will aid an official, permanent presence, resulting in Sky Ryders marching on turf around the country again one day.

This website is specifically designed and worded legally as, Sky Ryders Drum & Bugle Corps- The Unofficial Site. The intentions for the website is strictly historic, a place to share the gathered information and for alumni to have the ability to easily connect:

*** Sky Ryders Winter Guard has a website; email for the web address until I have permission or not to publish and link it.

*** Another website, the Official Sky Ryders' Alumni email contacts is available here: Sky Ryders Alumni. (Sky Ryders Drum & Bugle Corps- the Unofficial Site is to serve primarily as a database for history because of its limited resources. The time-frame for gathering the history before it is permanently lost is the motivation and energy in this project.)

This website will never be political and will only serve alumni in a positive manner. NO negative comments will be allowed on this website against any alumni (period). No negative comments about current or former staff, members, volunteers or negative comments about other corps members (current or former), about DCI or any DCI judges, or any negative comments about anything drum corps related will be tolerated. The owner of this site will edit as needed.

WHAT IS NEEDED:

(1) MEMBER, STAFF AND VOLUNTEER LISTS for the years' competition, regardless if it is full corps or winter corps.

(2) TOUR SCHEDULES of winter guard competitions and exhibitions throughout the years.

(3) SCORES of all competitions. The breakdowns of scores: horns, drums, rifles, flags, marching, etc. will eventually be published here. Anyone want to help?

(4) PICTURES of anything related to our corps (especially for this homepage).

GRAPHICS: If anyone interested in providing a better template to work from, please let me know. Any graphic help is always welcome.

(5) MUSICAL SCORES of the years and information about the scores.

(6) RECORDINGS of competitions and standstills that may be available for sale.

(7) MISCELLANEOUS INFORMATION about the corps.

WE WILL ALWAYS HAVE WORLD PRESENCE. This will be a permanent website. Sky Ryders Drum & Bugle Corps will always have a major presence on the web again, although the corps may disband temporarily, may be relocated or a website address change. This website will never "just go away"; it is intended for all our alumni and fans.

I will attribute any information given by contributors to attest accuracy and as a positive reflection toward contributors.

Special Thanks in No Particular Order To: Steve Vickers for his support, Scott Cameron for the front page, corps and individual pictures, Craig Coldren for all his help and Susan McMurray for starting the pictures of '81 and '82 and not least, starting the scrapbook! Job well done, I'm impressed. We need more to board this train. Thank you for the help.

Please, please, please alumni and fans contribute, so all may enjoy. I'll publish ASAP.

To my brothers and sisters:

We'll be back... someday, somehow, somewhere...

Greg (Soprano 1980, 1981 and 1982).

To the Bayonne Bridgemen who have activated; and all the other great, currently inactive corps we marched with: We empathize, we all loved you, and still do. Please see Announcements. We'll all be back, someday, somehow, somewhere...
